The Bauerfeind ValguLoc® II is an anatomically contoured big toe orthosis designed to correct toe misalignment and relieve pressure on the metatarsophalangeal joint in individuals with hallux valgus (bunion). Suitable for conservative treatment and post-operative care, it helps maintain improved toe alignment while supporting controlled movement during recovery.

Featuring a multidimensional joint mechanism, the ValguLoc® II holds the big toe at a predetermined angle and allows extension and flexion to be restricted or gradually permitted according to individual treatment requirements. This adjustable movement control helps relieve stress on the metatarsophalangeal joint and may support more comfortable big toe movement, particularly in the early stages of hallux valgus.

Its flat, low-profile construction and adjustable fastening system provide a secure, comfortable fit. The orthosis can be individually configured to accommodate changing mobility requirements, making it suitable for use during rest and, when permitted by the treatment plan, during movement. Following surgery, use should be guided by a healthcare professional.

SIZING & FIT

Refer to the official Bauerfeind ValguLoc® II sizing guide to select the appropriate size.
Position the orthosis around the big toe and forefoot, ensuring the joint mechanism aligns correctly with the big toe joint.
Secure the fastening system to hold the toe in the prescribed position.
Adjust the joint mechanism according to the recommended degree of movement restriction or permitted flexion and extension.
Ensure the orthosis fits securely without excessive pressure, pain, numbness, or skin irritation.
Follow the recommended wearing schedule and movement settings provided by your healthcare professional, particularly after surgery.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Clean the ValguLoc® II separately by hand using a mild, alkali-free cleaning agent.
Close all Velcro fasteners before cleaning to help preserve their fastening performance and prevent damage.
Clean the orthosis gently and avoid harsh cleaning agents.
Allow the product to air-dry naturally.
Do not expose the orthosis to direct heat, including radiators or direct sunlight.
Ensure the orthosis is completely dry before wearing it again.
