PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Bauerfeind LumboLoc® Forte is a lumbar support orthosis designed to provide enhanced stabilization and targeted relief for the lower back. It is suitable for conditions involving lumbar vertebral syndrome, muscular insufficiency, and other lumbar disorders that require additional support to maintain a functional spinal posture.

Featuring anatomically contoured rigid metal corset stays, the LumboLoc® Forte helps stabilize the lumbar spine and support its natural alignment. Its individually adjustable tensioning straps provide increased compression, while a height-adjustable functional strap allows pressure to be distributed according to individual treatment needs, helping relieve strain on the lumbosacral region.

The orthosis combines a breathable Train knit fabric with a practical fastening system featuring rigid plastic D-loops and low-power tensioning straps for easy adjustment. Its removable support stays, anatomical design, and adjustable construction help provide a personalized fit and reliable support during everyday activities.

INDICATIONS

• Moderate lumbar sciatica with slight muscular insufficiency associated with intervertebral disc protrusions or herniated discs
• Moderate radicular or pseudoradicular lumbar syndrome
• Moderate degenerative changes of the lumbar spine and muscular insufficiency
• Conditions following a herniated disc, including post-operative recovery
• Moderate facet syndrome
• Moderate lumbar deformity
• Ligamento-tendomyopathy
• Spondylolysis or spondylolisthesis, Grade 1

SIZING & FIT

• Measure the circumference of the torso according to the official Bauerfeind LumboLoc® Forte sizing guide.
• Refer to the product measurement chart to select the appropriate size.
• If the largest available size is insufficient, consider the compatible extension panel, which increases the maximum circumference by approximately 10 cm.
• Position the orthosis around the lower back, ensuring the rear stays align with the lumbar region.
• Secure the main fastening system and adjust the tensioning straps to achieve the prescribed level of support.
• Adjust the height of the functional strap as needed to distribute pressure appropriately.
• Ensure the orthosis fits securely without excessive compression or restriction of comfortable movement.
• Have the metal stays individually shaped by a qualified professional if necessary.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Hand wash the orthosis separately at 30°C using a mild detergent.
• Separate the knitted fabric section from the belt before cleaning.
• Remove the support pad before cleaning. The pad can be cleaned with a damp sponge.
• Close all Velcro fasteners before washing to help prevent damage and maintain their fastening performance.
• Allow the components to air-dry naturally.
• Do not expose the orthosis to direct heat, including radiators or direct sunlight.
• Avoid tumble drying to help preserve the materials and fastening components.
