PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Bauerfeind SecuTec® Omo is an adjustable shoulder immobilization orthosis designed to stabilize and relieve the shoulder joint following surgery, traumatic injuries, or shoulder dislocation. It provides controlled positioning of the arm to help reduce pain, protect healing tissues, and support rehabilitation following complex shoulder conditions and procedures.

Featuring a multifunctional joint mechanism with two independent adjustment settings, the SecuTec® Omo allows individualized control of shoulder abduction and arm rotation. The abduction angle can be adjusted up to 60°, while inward and outward rotation can be regulated independently at the touch of a button. This enables the arm to be positioned according to specific treatment requirements, with rotation limits adjustable when necessary.

The orthosis is supported by a pelvic frame that helps secure the arm without requiring a shoulder strap, reducing unwanted tension around the neck and opposite shoulder. Its adjustable pelvic frame angle accommodates different body shapes, while the padded arm support provides comfortable positioning during extended wear. The SecuTec® Omo is designed for controlled immobilization and progressive mobilization under professional guidance.

SIZING & FIT

• Refer to the official Bauerfeind SecuTec® Omo sizing guide to select the appropriate size.
• Position the pelvic frame securely around the torso, ensuring it follows the natural contours of the body.
• Adjust the pelvic frame angle to achieve a comfortable and anatomically appropriate fit.
• Secure the arm within the orthosis, ensuring the shoulder and elbow are correctly supported.
• Set the abduction angle according to the prescribed treatment position, up to the device's maximum of 60°.
• Adjust inward and outward rotation independently using the integrated button mechanism.
• Set any required rotational limits according to the treating healthcare professional's instructions.
• Check that all straps and padded components are secure without excessive pressure or discomfort.
• Have a qualified healthcare professional perform the initial fitting and adjustment, particularly following surgery or fracture.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Wipe the plastic components with a soft cloth and mild cleaning agent when necessary.
• Remove the upholstery from the orthosis before washing.
• Hand-wash the removable upholstery using a mild detergent.
• Allow the pads to air-dry naturally.
• Reattach the upholstery using the designated snap fasteners once completely dry.
• Follow the care instructions on the sewn-in label located inside the waist belt.
• Avoid exposing the orthosis to direct heat or harsh cleaning agents.
