The Bauerfeind ManuTrain® is an anatomically contoured wrist support designed to relieve pain, stabilize the wrist joint, and support recovery following injuries, irritation, or degenerative conditions. Its functional design partially restricts selected wrist movements while preserving the ability to grip and perform everyday tasks.

Featuring breathable Train Active Knit, an integrated rigid thermoplastic stabilization stay, and a viscoelastic pressure-relief pad, the ManuTrain® combines medical compression with targeted mechanical support. The knitted fabric provides an intermittent massage effect during movement, helping stimulate circulation and support the reduction of swelling and discomfort.

Its two-part strap system allows stabilization to be adjusted according to individual treatment requirements. The straps help limit palmar flexion and ulnar deviation while maintaining functional hand movement. An anatomically contoured thumb opening with a soft, seamless comfort zone enhances fit, while the viscoelastic pad accommodates the ulnar bony prominence to help prevent localized pressure.

The highly elastic, breathable construction features pressure-reduced edges and a textured knitted surface designed to stimulate proprioceptive feedback. Together, these features provide comfortable, targeted wrist support during daily activities and rehabilitation.

INDICATIONS

• Chronic, post-traumatic, or post-operative wrist irritation
• Wrist sprains and other wrist distortions
• Osteoarthritis of the wrist
• Wrist instability, including radioulnar subluxation
• Tendovaginitis (tenosynovitis)
• Wrist discomfort associated with repetitive strain
• Prevention of recurrent wrist complaints when additional support is appropriate

SIZING & FIT

• Measure the circumference of the wrist according to the official Bauerfeind ManuTrain® sizing guide.
• Refer to the product measurement chart to select the appropriate size.
• Slide the support over the hand and wrist using the supplied donning aid, if needed.
• Ensure the thumb sits comfortably within the anatomically shaped opening.
• Position the integrated stabilization stay correctly along the wrist.
• Wrap the two-part strap system around the palm and wrist according to the manufacturer's fitting instructions.
• Adjust the straps to achieve secure, comfortable support without excessive pressure or restricted circulation.
• Confirm that the viscoelastic pad sits comfortably around the ulnar bony prominence.
• If a reduced level of stabilization is prescribed, modify the strap configuration as instructed by your healthcare professional.
• Ensure the support does not cause numbness, tingling, or increased discomfort.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Machine wash separately at 30°C using liquid detergent.
• Remove the Velcro straps if possible or securely fasten them to their designated areas before washing.
• Remove detachable pads or splints before washing, where applicable.
• Use a laundry net to help protect the knitted fabric.
• Limit the spin cycle to a maximum of 500 revolutions per minute.
• Air-dry naturally. Do not tumble-dry, as heat may damage the knitted fabric.
• Wash the support regularly to help maintain its compression properties, elasticity, and hygiene.
