PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Bauerfeind MalleoTrain® is an anatomically designed ankle support intended to relieve pain, reduce swelling, and provide functional stabilization following ankle injuries, surgery, or conditions such as osteoarthritis and arthritis. Its three-dimensional knitted construction provides medical compression while maintaining flexibility and comfort during everyday movement.

The support features two anatomically contoured viscoelastic pads positioned around the inner and outer ankle bones (malleoli). These pads provide targeted pressure and a gentle massage effect during movement, helping stimulate circulation and support the reduction of swelling, edema, and joint effusions.

With Medical Compression Class 1 (20–30 mmHg), the MalleoTrain® combines supportive compression with a breathable, skin-friendly knit. Its high elasticity and pressure-reduced edges help provide a secure, comfortable fit without unnecessary constriction, making it suitable for daily wear during recovery and rehabilitation.

Postoperative and post-traumatic ankle irritation, including following sprains
Joint effusions and swelling associated with osteoarthritis
Ankle swelling associated with arthritis
Tendomyopathies affecting the ankle region
Ligament weakness and functional ankle instability
Recovery and rehabilitation following ankle injuries or surgery

SIZING & FIT

Measure the ankle according to the official Bauerfeind MalleoTrain® sizing guide.
Refer to the product measurement illustration to select the appropriate size.
Slide the support over the foot and ankle, ensuring that the knitted fabric sits smoothly against the skin.
Position the two viscoelastic pads around the inner and outer ankle bones.
Check that the support fits securely without excessive pressure, folding, or constriction.
Ensure that the heel and ankle are correctly positioned within the knitted support.
Confirm that the support remains comfortably in place during walking and everyday movement.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Machine wash the support separately at 30°C using liquid detergent.
Place the support in a laundry net to help protect the knitted fabric.
If the product has removable fastening straps, remove them where possible or secure them to their designated fastening areas before washing.
Remove pads or splints before washing whenever possible, following the manufacturer's instructions.
Use a maximum spin speed of 500 revolutions per minute.
Do not tumble dry. Allow the support to air-dry naturally.
Avoid direct heat, which may damage the knitted fabric and affect its compression properties.
Wash the support regularly to help maintain the compression characteristics of the knitted material.
